Perth, WA born and bred, Dani was trained with high technicality at the Debra McCulloch Dance Academy in all genres: tap, jazz, acrobatics, song & dance, classical ballet, lyrical and contemporary. She excelled in both RAD and CSTD exam work and achieved Full CSTD Teacher’s Diplomas in Theatrical, Tap and Modern Jazz.
Some of her most notably received awards include Choreography Awards from DMIA in Perth, AODC Malaysia Highest Scoring Troupe and CSTD Malaysia Highest Scoring Troupe, the Martin Rubenstein Classical Award, Gold Star Tap Award, the Blue Sash Theatrical Award, the Premier Danseur Award and a Full Summer Scholarship at Brent Street curtesy of MFOD Classical Scholarship.
Dani has choreographed for X System International in Jakarta to produce Alice in Wonderland as well as
performing as the Queen of Hearts, in Singapore choreographing and performing in The Care Bears, Larva
and Dinosaur Train as well as choregraphing and performing at ADF Sydney and Disneyland America
Anaheim.
Dani has taught at many studios throughout WA and internationally since 2014. She has represented CSTD
by teaching intensives in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia between 2016 and 2019 and currently works
with studios in both Malaysia and Singapore for competition work and studio intensives.
In 2022 Dani’s choreography was awarded both highest results and notable commendations at
DMIA Showtime Perth, 24th Asia Pacific Dance Competition and the 9th CSTD Malaysia Dance Competition.
This continued in 2023 at both the 10th CSTD Malaysia Dance Competition and the 25th Asia Pacific Dance Competition and in 2024 at the 11th CSTD Malaysia Dance Competition.
Since stepping outside of the WA dance teaching scene in 2023, Dani obtained her Adjudication certification via Transit Dance and has been adjudicating at competitions throughout WA ever since. She prides herself on being an unbiased adjudicator that gives positive critiques to performers of all genres and abilities.
Dani has current memberships and affiliations with Comdance and Australian Dance Adjudicators.
